MISSION

The “Sarmatia” International Pipeline Company (Międzynarodowe Przedsiębiorstwo Rurociągowe “Sarmatia” Spółka z ograniczoną odpowiedzialnością) was established on July 2004 by the state oil transportation system operators of Poland – PERN “Przyjaźń” and Ukraine – JSC “Ukrtransnafta” in order  to analyze the possibility of an Odessa – Brody pipeline extension to Poland as a part of the future Euro-Asian Oil Transportation Corridor.  The Company was entered into the Registry of Entrepreneurs of the National Court Register maintained by the District Court in Warsaw under the number KRS 0000224805 with a total share capital of PLN 2.000.000 (two million Polish zloty).
On 10th October 2007 PERN “Przyjaźń” S.A. and JSC “Ukrtransnafta”  signed an Agreement on the foundation of MPR “Sarmatia” Sp. z o.o. together with three new participants – the State Oil Company of the Republic of Azerbaijan (SOCAR), the Georgian Oil & Gas Corporation (GOGC) and AB “Klaipedos Nafta”.
Pursuant to the Agreement, the share capital of MPR “Sarmatia” was increased to PLN 9.000.000 (nine million Polish zloty).
On the same day Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Georgia, the Republic of Lithuania, the Republic of Poland and Ukraine signed an Agreement on cooperation in the Energy Sector, defining MPR “Sarmatia” Sp. z o.o. as a main executer of the EAOTC Project.
